RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsibility for all aspects of the Programs, including staff recruitment, hiring and training.
- Set and implement goals for each program and report/discuss with Vice President.
- Work with Vice President and AED on writing proposals and ensure it is submitted timely.
- Responsible for finalizing and submitting timely program budgets
- Must be able to understand and monitor contractual obligations of all programs.
- Responsible for timely contract reporting for Programs.
- Responsible for development of corrective plans for programs that are not meeting contractual obligations by working alongside Vice President to ensure all issue are addressed and properly and timely.
- Montor that all programs follow all DFTA, and US Occupational Safety & Health requirements.
- Assist the department with the development of program goals for programs in portfolio
- Recruit, hire and supervise staff members and interns
- Supervise all aspects of the programs including budget preparation and monitoring
- Keep up to date on changes in funding report and compliance, aging environment including new local and federal policies around food, and funding sources.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and narrative reports to funding sources
- Create an environment of teamwork within programs, the department and agency as a whole
- Responsible for completing monthly reports detailing program performance
- Assist in the planning and implementation of regular staff meetings
- Meet monthly with program staff for supervision
- Responsible for writing accident/ incident reports and submitting within deadline
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure that the highest quality of service is offered
Program Specific Expectations:
- Ensure overall contractual goals are met for all contracts
- Maintain communication and collaboration with funders
- Verify menu compliance under Department of Aging
- Ensure required documentation for case assistance, I & R, all activities, meal records, site monitoring visits, and attendance records are completed and current
- Review and update Policy and Procedures Manuals
- Ensure audit compliance
QUALIFICATION (education, professional certifications or licenses, proficiencies)
- Master’s degree in social services, aging or related field, preferred , or Bachelor’s
- Experience in aging or social service field
- Minimum of 3-year’s management experience in a social service
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Good writing skills
- Ability to work with seniors of all ages
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time
- Ability to climb five flights of stairs
- Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents
- Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation
- Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement weather
