About the Role: As a Human Resources Manager/Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you support programmatic and administrative business units. The HRBP will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing expert HR guidance and support in areas such as employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, and organizational development. This role will be critical in driving HR initiatives that align with our business objectives, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Drive initiatives related to talent acquisitions, onboarding, workforce development, succession planning, performance management and employee relations. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on all HR-related matters, including conflict resolution, employee development, and organizational change.
  • Analyze HR metrics to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the broader HR team to implement company-wide HR initiatives and projects
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisitions 

  • Lead and develop the talent acquisition and onboarding strategy, operations and team. Set objectives, managing assignments, and guide the development and implementation of a comprehensive sourcing and recruitment strategies for key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Provide HR guidance to line managers during the recruitment process. Work collaboratively with stakeholders and staff. Provide excellent customer service through professional, consistent and effective outreach and engagement.
  • Source qualified candidates through extensive searching, networking, and screening.
  • Use HRIS data to streamline and optimize recruiting and onboarding process. 
  • Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques to maintain competitiveness.
  • Identify and recommend events, activities, and venues to expand and enhance current efforts. 
  • Implement regular reporting and review of recruitment metrics to drive continuous improvement across the Talent Acquisitions team and wider organization.
  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies to identify internal drivers around retention issues.

Staff Development & Coaching

  • Collaborate with supervisors to develop performance review frameworks and standardized protocols for managing team member performance.
  • Offer daily performance management support, including coaching, career development, and disciplinary actions, while leading organization-wide communication and training initiatives.

Employee Relations

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations. Assist with terminations, performance improvement plans, and warnings. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Foster a supportive environment where employees feel heard and comfortable communicating with HR.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to people managers including education and coaching on employee relations best practices and effective employee communication techniques.
  • Conduct thorough, professional, and efficient investigations to gather critical facts for decision-making, while utilizing company tools and resources to document findings, evidence, and reports in a fact-based, concise, and prompt manner. 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.

Generalist 

  • Manage vendor services. Ensure cost-effective use of systems and services. Ensure HR budgets are adhered to.
  • Provide project management expertise and oversee special projects as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to listen and connect with all team members to ensure they feel safe, heard and respected.
  • Capably manage high-stress, sensitive situations; ensure all matters are handled objectively and consistently.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as required using HRIS data and analytics to support various HR functions and initiatives. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
