Description
Brook Plaza Ambulatory Surgical Center is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator who will have a broad range of responsibilities that provide support in the day-to-day operations of the HR function. As a highly visible member of the team, you will interact with senior management, clinical and non-clinical members of the organization.
Our Brooklyn-based Ambulatory Surgical Center has provided a facility for more than 50 Surgeons to perform Ophthalmic and GI procedures for the past 30 years.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate full recruitment life cycle, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates
- Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process
- Administer employee benefits programs including benefit orientations and handle employee inquiries regarding benefits
- Payment of monthly invoices
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate employee records and status changes in HRIS system and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Manage performance management processes, including tracking employee evaluations and probationary reviews
- Track and update professional licensures and certifications.
- Assist with coordination of Worker’s Compensation, Disability. FMLA and Paid Family Leave
- Escalate employee relations and compliance matters appropriately
- Maintain and update employee files, benefits
- Schedule mandatory staff training such as anti-harassment training, safety training
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion related to all HR confidential information;

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
- At least 3 years of previous human resources experience required; health care facility preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems required; Previous experience with Paycom a plus
- SHRM-CP a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per hour
