In this position, the Director of Quality delivers measurable and sustainable results by leading the quality department and improvement initiatives that support our key objectives and strategies for our operations in all Brook Whittle locations (Missouri, Tennessee, New York, Illinois, California, Ohio, and Connecticut).
Director of Quality Essential Functions:

- Lead and drive the continuous improvement process throughout the business through the “hands-on” support and/or leadership of successful plant continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and QMS as part of a team to achieve for ISO9001:2015 certification.
- Manages QA Managers to effectively increase the quality of our products in all B W locations
- Coordinate internal auditing, mock recalls, and serve as leader for any customer or agency audits.
- Facilitate projects that target waste reduction and optimizes the entire value stream.
- Coordinate investigations and respond with corrective and preventive actions CAPA for any customer complaints.
- Act as a change agent to instill a continuous improvement culture throughout the organization.
- Partner with process owners to identify and leverage best practices to achieve maximum results to eliminate waste/cost of poor performance and deliver sustainable and repeatable change
- Coach and champion functions to identify and implement opportunities to improve program and process effectiveness
- Monitor progress of key initiatives in order to check if changes yield desirable results. Establish measurable standards at the start of a project and then compare actual project results against these, regularly generating detailed update reports to key stake holders.
- Act as a technical expert, coach and train other team members in the use of continuous improvement processes and tools.
- Deploy the appropriate Quality / Delivery / Cost metrics and management routines at all levels of the organization.
- Collect and analyze data and identify solutions based on root cause analysis and create business cases to present to key stakeholders and “sell” solutions
- Create value stream and/or process maps to help standardize process and workflow where necessary.
- Work together professionally in a team environment with co-workers and other department personnel
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Director of Quality Requirements:

- In-depth knowledge of market trends and conditions

- Knowledge and expertise in business analysis, process improvement tools, and project management
Director of Quality Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in manufacturing, engineering, quality management
- 5 years quality and / or process improvement experience
- Digital and Flexographic Printing Experience preferred
- Flexible Packaging experience preferred
- ISO 22000 or SQF experience preferred
- Experience professionally working with customers
- Internal auditing and represent company for external customer audit
- Vision System Experience preferred
- ASQ certification or Six Sigma training is preferred.
