Job Description
Overview: The Student Success Coach/Advisor delivers personalized support to students, providing tools and resources for post-secondary education preparedness and success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of students, providing consistent information about programs and services.
- Support students in developing educational plans and strategies for improved success.
- Mentor students in skills needed for college success, preparing and presenting workshops on various topics.
- Develop positive working relationships with faculty and staff to enhance communication and student success.
- Advise students on college preparedness, financial aid, career resources, and graduation.
Case Management/Assessment:
- Engage in case management practices, including student success planning and outreach.
- Collaborate with school administrators on student support and program completion.
- Provide career and college planning services.
- Stay abreast of exemplary practices to promote student success, participating in workshops and conferences.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
- Three years of experience working with students, fostering learning, support, and success.
- Ability to instruct and motivate students, develop mentoring relationships, and work with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of FERPA regulations and ability to utilize Microsoft Office at an intermediate level.
