We are seeking exceptional Field Education Instructors: Reading Specialists to contribute to the academic success of our students at Brookdale Community College.
As a Reading Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering instruction and support in reading and learning disabilities, while cultivating a positive academic environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in reading and learning disabilities, aligning with the curriculum and standards.
Essential Qualifications:
Education and Background:
- Masters Degree in Reading or a related field is necessary.
- Significant teaching experience in reading and learning disabilities is highly desirable.
- Experience working with college students with learning disabilities is preferred.
Special Considerations:
- Strong knowledge of current learning theories and computer literacy are essential.
- Need for daytime teaching availability.
- Positions are based at the Lincroft campus.
- Understanding of Monmouth County and its communities is beneficial.
