JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs the nursing department under the supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON), as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the facility’s day-to-day needs.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Current Registered Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Four (4) years of nursing experience, in acute psychiatric facility and/or substance abuse treatment
- Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing
- Current Basic Life Support.
- Scheduled shifts: Saturday and Sunday (Days), Monday to Wednesday (Evenings), with oncall responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Responsible for developing staff schedules in accordance with department needs.
- Develop, maintain and update policies and procedures that govern functions of the department.
- Make daily rounds to ensure all nursing staff is performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
- Meet with patients throughout the shift and report care issues to the nursing staff.
- Oversee and assist in the training of new staff members.
- Develop methods for coordination of nursing servicew with other patient services to ensure continuity of patient care.

SALARY RANGE (depends upon work experience): $65K - $80K
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
