Title

Community Pantry Worker for Brooke County

Description of duties and responsibilities

· Helps FSC Director to maintain digital records of client access to pantry services.

· Place orders with the Mountaineer Food Bank and/or local supermarkets.

· Pick up or arrange for deliveries for pantry.

· Ensure all BHFRN sponsored community blessing boxes are well stocked.

· Provide food assistance to Community Pantry clients with dignity and respect.

· Refers returning clients to FSC Case Manager for assessment

· Inventory management to include, but not limited to, checking expiration dates, rotating stock though first in, first out guidelines, ordering and restocking items.

· Stay current with food safety trainings and certifications.

· Maintain a clean pantry environment; daily dusting, sweep, mop, etc.

· Additional duties as assigned by the Brooke Hancock Family Resource Network Executive Director and Family Support Center Director.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Supervisory relationships

This position will report to the Family Support Center Directors and will not be responsible to supervise any other positions.

Skills and Knowledge required

· Ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual applicants a plus.

· Ability to work independently but with strong teamwork commitment.

· Ability to use computer for entry into database and periodic reporting.

· Strong organizational skills

Travel/conditions/special requirements

· Use of personal vehicle for travel, valid driver’s license

· Personal vehicle to be used as main mode of transportation to complete job duties

· Attend and plan community events across all counties served

· Attend all required trainings

· Must be physically capable to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
