Job Role
The Senior Wind Technician Lead plays a vital role in the success of our wind energy business. This individual is responsible for leading a team of technicians to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on our wind turbines. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent technical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team of technicians to perform hands-on work on wind turbines.
* Develop and implement maintenance plans for multiple wind turbine platforms.
* Collaborate with the High Voltage Technician to perform High, Medium, and Low Voltage switching and training.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental procedures and policies.
* Provide technical support to remote assets as needed.
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
* Ability to climb multiple towers per day up to 90 meters unassisted, in various weather conditions.
* Ability to lift, move, place, and/or handle objects up to 50lbs unassisted and up to 100lbs assisted.
* Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
