QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Mississippi teaching certificate with endorsement in administration or supervision preferred
- At least three years of teaching experience
- Such alternative to the aforementioned qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable
- Proficient skills in leadership, organization, interpersonal skills, and instructional technology
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be established by the School Board
REPORTS TO: Principal
JOB GOALS: Utilize data to help teachers in developing effective teaching strategies for all students and in improving instructional decisions at the classroom/school level
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Such duties as may be assigned, including but not limited to, the following:
- Meets all professional conduct standards as set by MS Educator Code of Ethics Standards of Conduct
- Utilizes instructional modeling, classroom observations, coaching, and feedback for teacher growth
- Helps teachers in classroom organization/preparation, data analysis, and instructional strategies
- Ensures, on behalf of the principal, the implementation of curriculum and alignment to pacing, lesson plans, instructional delivery, and assessment
- Mentors teachers, providing feedback regarding all aspects of academics: instruction, classroom management, and interactive classroom environment
- Supports and guides teachers in the Three Tier/RtI process and methods of intervention
- Supports and guides teachers in making instructional decisions based on current student data
- Engages in effective and relevant personal growth/development
- Attends trainings and meetings when requested by school and district administration
- Assists in/conducts district-wide or school site trainings as needed
- Supports the district curriculum teams including vertical alignment and MTSS
- Supports teachers in adequately meeting the differentiated instructional needs of all students
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
- Follows the District Instructional Management Plan including the Multi-Tiered System of Supports
- Collaborates with other faculty and staff, parents, the building principal, and district support staff
- Participates in professional growth activities monitored through the MS Professional Growth System
- Reports on time to duty posts and performs duty responsibilities as assigned by school administration
- Follows all board policies and procedures
- Maintains regular attendance and is punctual
- Promotes the district’s vision, mission, and goals
- Performs any other duties as assigned by school administration
