What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Coordinator position at Brookhaven Treatment and Learning Center?
The Special Education Coordinator oversees educational services designed to meet the
specialized needs of the Brookhaven student. In this managerial role, the Special
Education Coordinator supervises all Learning Center staff, closely monitors academic
progress of all students, and collaborates with the Clinical Coordinator and other team
members to support behavioral plans and interventions for Brookhaven youth. The
Special Education Coordinator is responsible for helping to develop, implement, and
maintain IEP’s and 504 plans for identified students and ensuring these students receive
the supports and services outlined in their individualized plans. The Special Education
Coordinator further ensures that Learning Center policies and practices are in
compliance with all state regulations and that provided services fulfill contractual
obligations.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree and a VT special educators license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
