Responsibilities include:
- Create video reels/shorts for social media, including researching subjects, scripting, filming, producing, editing and scheduling for social media.
- Write for press releases, ads, web pages, brochures, newsletters, etc. Must be familiar with Associated Press (AP) Style and be able to edit own work.
- Make updates to Brookings Health's website and email marketing platform.
- Perform regular content updates to Brookings Health System’s communication screens.
- Assist with and complete other duties and tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Enrolled as a full-time student in a curriculum leading to a degree in journalism, English, public relations, communications, advertising, graphic design or other related major.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premier Pro or After Effects preferred.
- Excellent writing and editing skills; please submit 3 writing samples with application.
- Ability to follow and abide by Brookings Health System’s brand guidelines.
- Resourcefulness with the ability to take initiative. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organization skills; must work well with others.
