What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher position at Brookland Learning Center?
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team.
Schedule: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm (brk 12 pm - 2 pm)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement strategies to encourage good conduct
- Create a safe and welcoming environment for children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Conduct assessments to monitor children's development and adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all students
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a child care center or educational setting is highly preferred
- First aid and CPR certification is beneficial, but not required upon hiring
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support diverse learning
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and staff
- A passion for nurturing young minds and fostering their development
