BHS SUMMER SKILLS TEACHER, ESY PROGRAM
POSITION OVERVIEW
To plan and provide instruction to students who require an Extended School Year (ESY), per their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Planning for instruction of students to maintain skills, information, and behaviors per IEP
- Supervision of teacher’s aides
- Coordination of related service support
- Assessment and communication of progress with teachers and service providers
- Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment
QUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED
- MASS DESE certification in Moderate or Severe Disabilities, 9-12, required
- Teaching experience with students on the autism spectrum
SCHEDULE
- July 7, 2025 - July 31, 2025
- 9:00 - 1:00, Monday - Thursday
- Additional 1-2 days of training prior to start of program
- Additional 30 minutes per day for planning
