Pay Rate: $18.50
Receipt of Packaging into Brooklyn Bottling – Milton and Brooklyn Bottling - Marlboro
- Unloading from truck
- Separating out the different packaging material SKUs
- Counting received packaging and comparing to count on BOL
- Documenting adjustments for receipt of materials on BOL
- Receiving in packaging into AFS/WMS system
- Disposition and put away of packaging for proper storage (examples: labels, corrugated, cans, bottles) and by customer designated location if appropriate.
- Scanning of packaging to appropriate WMS location
Transfer and Staging of Packaging
- Daily completions of material scans
- Assure correct rotation (first in, first out) of packaging brought to plant for production
- Report and correct with management irregular usage of materials in the batch making process
- Prompt return materials from bulk to inventory storage once usage in bulk is completed
- Cycle count of materials used in bulk upon return to inventory and/or completion of run
- Consumption of materials used in run and not recorded to batch
Inventory Control and Cycle Counting
- Pre-counts of packaging (rolling 2 weeks out) in order to assure availability for production
- Coordination with the packaging planner on inbound cans and bottles
- Scheduling of the movement of packaging from Marlboro as needed according to production plan
- Post count of materials after use in production to assure proper consumption and inventory.
- Check WMS to AFS variances weekly. Adjust as needed.
- Cycle count or consumption of packaging material post count in order to maintain accuracy
- Counts on packaging materials as requested by management
- Full participation in all company required cycle counts
- Daily and weekly bin and packaging cycle counts with adjustments to assure ongoing inventory accuracy
- Notification to management of expired, obsolete or damaged packaging
- Maintenance of accurate packaging inventory counts for all on-site (Milton plant) and off-site (Marlboro warehouse) inventory storage locations.
Housekeeping of all packaging and receiving areas
- Proper put away on all packaging materials
- Clean up any spilled packaging in all storage and transfer locations
- Repairing when possible all damaged packaging boxes or pallets to prevent further spills
