Job Description:
Brooklyn Global Prep is looking for a French teacher for our preschool program. The candidate should embody the school’s mission to create a child-centric haven that utilizes language immersion, creative open spaces, nature, art and music to continue the path of happy, culturally diverse, open-minded global thinkers and forever learners.
The successful candidate will:
- Work with the other French teachers in a fun and engaging way using a variety of hands-on approaches to learning,
- Expose children to a wide variety of educational opportunities that encourage self-expression, communication, logical thinking, and problem-solving,
- Support children to excel in math, science, reading, and writing in French,
- Care for young children and make sure they are safe, clean, and monitored at all times,
- Ensure city and state compliance at all times,
- Additional duties as needed for this role.
Position Qualifications & Requirements:
- Degree in Early Childhood Education strongly preferred but not required,
- Experience in a preschool or with young children,
- Fluent French speaker,
- Have experience caring for young children.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of position which include lifting children, year-round daily physical activities, and more,
- Ability to play an instrument preferred but not required,
- NYS Birth - 2 Certification preferred but not required,
- Certifications in CPR, First Aid and Mental Health are preferred but not required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
