Job Title: Data Entry Clerk
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk in support of the Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA). The primary responsibilities include maintaining and updating employee information in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), assisting with payroll data entry, coordinating pre-employment screenings, and providing support for various HR functions, such as recruitment, compensation, and employee records. Additional duties include creating employee ID badges, managing new hire reporting, and supporting staff with HR-related forms and requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS.
- Assist in new employee setup and payroll coordination.
- Input payroll increases to ensure accuracy.
- Manage pre-employment screenings, such as background and Motor Vehicle Record checks.
- Assist with employee discipline tracking and Employee Action Forms (EAFs).
- Create and distribute orientation materials for new hires.
- Handle employment verifications and Ohio new hire reporting.
- Support the HR team with various data entry tasks and projects.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of data entry experience, preferably in HR.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- HRIS experience preferred.
- Previous payroll experience a plus.
