Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and dedicated Park Attendant in support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to manage the daily operations and maintenance of Buffumville Lake Park. This role requires a team of two to perform essential park services.
Work Hours
- 5 days per week, from Friday through Tuesday.
- Days off are scheduled for every Wednesday and Thursday, except for April 16, 17, and during the month of October, when services are required every day
- Performed daily, starting no later than 7:00 AM and completed by 12:00 NOON. However, for all buildings and shelters, the primary cleaning services must be completed by 10:00 AM.
- Spot checks are to be conducted on all buildings and shelters between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
Duties
- Perform daily custodial services. This includes tasks such as trash removal, restroom sanitation, and general upkeep of park facilities.
- Must be physically capable of performing outdoor work under various weather conditions.
- Required to live on-site in a self-contained RV for the duration of the contract period. The Government will provide designated RV sites with necessary utilities.
- Evening spot checks include inspecting for malfunctions, restocking supplies, and addressing any safety hazards.
- Must attend a pre-work training conference.
- Must provide an RV, transportation.
Requirements
- Must furnish a factory-built, "self-contained" recreation vehicle (RV) of the travel trailer or motor home type to serve as temporary living quarters. Pickup shell-type campers, pop-up tent trailers, tents, mini-travel trailers, mobile homes, converted school buses, or other RVs that do not meet the "self-contained" classification are not acceptable
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
- Must pass a background check.
