Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendent in managing daily operations on the job site, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of subcontractors and laborers, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control measures.
- Utilize construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid to prepare accurate project estimates and budgets.
- Maintain project documentation using software such as ProCore and Prolog, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with project teams to build effective communication channels between stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Support the Superintendent in developing project schedules and managing resources efficiently.
- Train and mentor junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management or a related field, with a strong understanding of construction processes.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore and Prolog is preferred.
- Familiarity with estimating tools like HeavyBid is a plus.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage teams effectively on-site.
- Knowledge of using an Ohmmeter for electrical work is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
