Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Automation Project Manager to join our team. As the Building Automation Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and completion of building automation projects. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the specified requirements. This role requires excellent project management, technical expertise, and strong communication skills.
Pay Scale: $95,000-$135,000 based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop project plans outlining scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resources. Identify risks and create mitigation strategies while aligning objectives with organizational goals.
- Project Execution: Lead the implementation of building automation projects, including installation and integration of systems. Coordinate teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality, schedule adherence, and safety.
- Budget Management: Develop and monitor project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising objectives.
- Scope Management: Manage project changes, including scope adjustments, schedule modifications, and contract updates. Communicate changes to stakeholders and ensure alignment.
- People Management: Build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors. Conduct regular status meetings and provide updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, schedules, contracts, change orders, and progress reports. Present status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, industry codes, and regulations. Conduct inspections to verify compliance and address deficiencies.
- Technical Expertise: Possess a basic understanding of building mechanical and automation systems. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop efficient solutions and provide team support.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Relevant certifications or an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- Knowledge of building automation systems, controls, and technologies.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including project planning, execution, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and end-users.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to company protocols.
