What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Service Technician II, Third Shift, Full-time position at Brooks Rehabilitation?
The Technical Support Specialist II will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve systems issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments . Gathers requirements, makes technical recommendations, configures, and implements computer systems, subsystems, or modifications to existing systems to achieve the objectives of projects assigned in the most efficient manner.
Hours: 3rd Shift, Wednesday - Sunday, 6pm - 3am
Responsibilities:
- First line of support for patient-critical after-hour issues.
- Responsible for the triaging, closure and documentation of all incidents and service requests received through the ticket system.
- Troubleshoots Windows 10/11 Operating Systems.
- Adhere to proper procedures regarding inventory management.
- Escalate major issues or outages through proper On-Call channels.
- Supports Microsoft 365, OneDrive, and Teams environment.
- Responsible for the imaging, replacing, and decommissioning of all laptops/desktops and workstations.
- Supports all IT related issues within patient rooms and on hospital floors.
- Maintains downtime system requirements and supports disaster recovery operations.
- Assists with Infrastructure, Applications, Networking and Security projects.
- Supports VoIP and telecommunications via phone setup, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Supports internal network of multipurpose TV’s.
- First line of troubleshooting for all inpatient EMR Software.
- Responsible for pushing procedures and updates to PCs via remote support tool.
- Travel between multiple Brooks Hospital campuses may be required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years of help desk experience required
- Strong individual contributor and team player
- Ability to prioritize/organize tasks and work independently with little to no supervision
- Experience with Cisco VPN, and Active Directory (Preferred)
- Experience with Remote Support and RDP into machines (Preferred)
- Ability to lift 15-20 lbs.
Compensation : Experience and education may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended .
