Job Description
Summary:
Under the direct clinical supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Associate – Clinical Student (PCA) provides for the safety, comfort, transportation and personal care of patients as well as assigned clinical responsibilities and documentation.
Education And Credentials
Responsibilities:
Current status as clinical student in an accredited program required. Completion of one clinical rotation required. Basic Life Support or within 3 months of hire required.
Experience
Other information:
Computer skills preferred. Requires critical thinking skills, working collaboratively with a variety of licensed and non-licensed professionals internal and external to hospital operations, applications of clinical knowledge and skills in performance of patient care in new and evolving situations, clear communication of educational materials and clinical procedures, clinical administration of a full patient assignment, decisive judgment often exerted in emergent situations, time management and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
