Landscape Construction Foreman
Brookside Nursery is looking for dependable and hardworking candidates interested in pursuing and furthering a career as a hardscape foreman. This position offers a diverse working experience, leading one-of-a-kind landscapes and outdoor living spaces.
Duties to include:
- Leading onsite tasks of installation and construction of hardscape elements
- Set grades, elevation, and hardscape layout and complete jobs start to finish
- Managing 3 or more people at a time effectively and efficiently
- Communicating with the designer daily regarding scope of work and vision for the project
- Aiding in the planning and logistics of upcoming hard-scape projects
- Ensuring jobsite and preliminary protocols are followed
- Leading by example during construction
- Accurately recording job expenses, materials used, and hours daily
This is a Full-Time position working consistently Monday-Friday 7am-5pm (project dependent) and Saturdays during the busy seasons as needed. Pay is based upon experience and meeting employment qualifications, minimum starting of $30-$35 per hour.
Brookside Nursery pays overtime after 40 hours.
Entry Qualifications:
5 years of Experience in a Landscape Construction Field
5 Years installing modular block/paver systems
- Natural Stone Experience
- Ability to set and understand grades and elevations
- Demonstrate proficiency in heavy equipment operation
- Clear communication skills
- Experience and understanding reading plans and details provided by designer
- Clean Driving record
- Capable of lifting 50lbs consistently
Additional Experience Sought:
- CDL License
- Technical Degree in landscape technologies
- Horticultural Knowledge
- Other licenses and certificates related to the landscape construction field
- Spanish language skills
- Bachelors degree in related field
