What Were Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- At least 16 years of age, with CPR certification and current Lifeguard certification from a recognized provider.
- The ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Proficiency in lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques.
- Capable of performing CPR and providing emergency medical assistance when needed.
- Basic computer skills for administrative duties and reports.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and effectively present information.
- Ability to walk frequently around the property, including being exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
- Comfortable climbing stairs and ladders, as well as performing physical tasks such as lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities:
As a Pool Attendant/Lifeguard, you will:
- Ensure the safety of pool patrons by maintaining constant surveillance and responding swiftly to emergencies.
- Provide emergency care and treatment until emergency medical services arrive, if necessary.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Perform various maintenance tasks to ensure the pool area remains clean, safe, and inviting.
- Keep accurate activity reports and assist with other administrative duties.
- Follow Brookside policies and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Fair Housing regulations.
- Address any unusual or extraordinary circumstances related to the residents or property.
