What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infrastructure Engineer position at Brooksource?
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND five (5) years of cloud development.
OR
- High School Diploma/GED AND ten (10) years of cloud development experience.
AND
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- Strong Cloud experience with AWS.
- Experience setting up, maintain, and evolving cloud infrastructure of web applications.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices including IAM.
- Experience using Git for managing source control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that development processes follow industry best practices across the SDLC.
- Experience with software engineering best practices (code reviews, source control, and build processes.)
- Scripting experience with Python, Bash or PowerShell.
- Understanding of the architecture, maintenance, and administration of Linux servers.
- Experience with infrastructure as a code using Terraform or Cloud Formation.
- Design and implement automated workflows using GitHub Actions to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- MS in computer science, software engineering, or computer engineering from an accredited institution.
- AWS Certification is preferred.
- Experience working in a data science environment with large amounts of data.
- Experience with AWS serverless technologies such as Lambda/Step Functions.
- Demonstrated skills in software engineering methodology including documentation, configuration management, unit and integration testing, and verification and validation.
- Experience with distributed version control systems, such as Git.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
