Engagement: Full-time Direct Placement
Location: Miami, FL (Doral)
Miami Office (8782 NW 18th Terrace, Miami, FL 33172).
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Position Overview:
Brooksource is partnering with an electrical equipment supplier to find a Lead Electrician who is ready to take charge, build something from the ground up, and lead the establishment of this newer service. As the Lead Electrician, you’ll play a pivotal role within the company. You’ll manage projects, lead a team, ensure compliance with NEC and local codes, and execute mission-critical electrical installations—all while helping define the strategic direction of our clients Power’s contracting services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs for critical power systems, including UPS systems, transfer switches, and generators.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
- Assist with the growth of our client's Power’s expansion, setting strategic direction and service offerings from your expert lens.
- Manage commercial electrical projects from start to finish, coordinating with clients, engineers, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure all work meets NEC, local building codes, and industry safety standards, including permit acquisition and site inspections.
- Develop processes and best practices for estimating, procurement, and project execution.
- In the future - Hire, train, and lead a team of electricians and apprentices, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Represent our client's Power as a technical expert, supporting sales and engineering teams with insights and consultations.
Qualifications
- Active Master Electrician License in Florida (or ability to obtain).
- 10 years of experience in commercial electrical work, with strong expertise in critical power systems.
- Proven leadership experience, including managing teams and overseeing large-scale electrical projects.
- Strong knowledge of the NEC, local building codes, and electrical safety regulations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in the field.
- Experience working with UPS systems, generators, transfer switches, and other mission-critical power infrastructure.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Experience obtaining permits, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, engineers, vendors, and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with critical power installations (data centers, hospitals, mission-critical facilities).
- Familiarity with electrical contracting business operations, including estimating, procurement, and project planning.
