Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join our sales team. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for utilizing technical knowledge and sales skills to sell complex products.
*Ability to earn sales commissions*
Duties:
- Identify and qualify sales opportunities by understanding Brookville Equipment's design and manufacturing capabilities and matching those to customer needs.
- Deliver presentations and provide technical expertise during negotiations.
- Align product offerings with specific customer requirements.
- Devise and implement sales strategies, goals, and forecasts.
- Coordinate meetings with potential and existing customers.
- Participate in the development of new products and modifications to existing products.
- Research industry trends and potential products.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Other functions as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in technical field (Engineering, Interdisciplinary Business and Engineering, or similar).
- 5 years of experience working in a technical sales role within manufacturing industry.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with customers, potential customers, vendors, and colleagues.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 40%.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- History of meeting and exceeding established sales goals.
