What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Assistant position at Broome-Tioga BOCES?
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports program administration to implement programs effectively and efficiently
- Assists with program development and implementation, including database management, monitoring CSE requirement, scheduling and logistics
- Tracks ordering, budgets, and cross-program communication equipment
- Monitors assistance and progress of program-wide events
- Supports implementation of required professional training and student data tracking
- Undertakes special projects or initiatives as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from a NYS registered or regionally accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree, OR
- Graduation from a NYS registered or regionally accredited college or university with an Associate’s Degree and two years of clerical experience in an office setting which must have involved maintaining electronic records in a database or spreadsheet applications; OR
- Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and four years of clerical experience in an office setting which must have involved maintaining electronic records in a database or spreadsheet application; OR
- An equivalent combination of training and experience as outlined by the limits of A), B) and C) above.
- Broome County Civil Service examination required
