JOB SUMMARY
Develop concepts and produce visual media for corporate, marketing, sales, advertising, public relations, and instructional uses. Use design technology and computer software to produce marketing materials and coordinates in-house production and outside services in the production of collateral. Responsible for taking projects from the initial concept stage through completion of the project.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Work with management as required to identify design requirements for specified projects.
- Create and execute design concepts and develop artwork for multiple corporate publications and events.
- Interpret the business needs and develop design tactics by gathering information and data to apply industry best practices, incorporate trends, and clarify design issues.
- Practice time management and organization to balance multiple projects simultaneously while meeting the constraints of cost, time, and functional requirements.
- Participate in creative meetings and contributes ideas and design recommendations.
- Work in a team environment and collaborate with printers, vendors, copywriters, photographers, other designers, managers, and executives.
- Produce accurate work under sometimes tight deadlines.
- Work cross-functionally with departments to ensure projects align with the company’s strategic business and brand goals.
- Communicate and maintain a consistent corporate image guidelines as needed to ad agencies, publications, vendors, employees, and agents.
- Help mentor and guide other creative staff and foster an atmosphere of collaboration and professional growth.
- Contribute to overall branding efforts by assisting with execution, timing, and follow-up of marketing and communication strategies.
- Annually complete at least one professional development course or seminar related to insurance, design, or communications.
- Occasionally work at off-site events hosted by Brotherhood Mutual.
- Complete other projects as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

- Must be highly organized, flexible and able to meet deadlines as prescribed.
- Must possess strong brainstorming, concept development, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Must have ability to communicate ideas and concepts through thumbnail sketches and draft mockups.
- Must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, and Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro is desired.
- Effectively interface with external contacts, Brotherhood employees, managers, and department staff members.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in any major relevant to graphic design and marketing communications required (includes graphic design, web design, or digital content strategy).
- Three to five years’ experience in graphic design, web design, and marketing communications.
- Advanced graphic design, motion graphics experience, or web development training is desired.
- One to three years’ experience in photography, motion graphics, video production, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript programming, and marketing communications in an add agency or corporate environment is desired.
