WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Description

The Warehouse Manager will play a critical role in managing daily warehouse activities, managing a team of warehouse staff, and ensuring the safe and efficient storage and dispatch of our ice cream products. This role requires a leader with excellent organizational skills, a commitment to quality and safety, and the ability to manage a dynamic team.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Warehouse Operations Management: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
• Ensure the efficient and effective handling of all products, maintaining the integrity of the cold chain from receipt to dispatch.
• Inventory Control: Implement and maintain accurate inventory tracking systems and FIFO processes.
• Conduct regular physical inventories and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure adequate supply of materials and products.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Schedule and allocate work assignments to meet operational needs and deadlines.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including food safety standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of product quality and integrity throughout the warehousing process.
• Implement quality control procedures to prevent damage and contamination of products.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address and resolve any issues related to product quality.
• Logistics and Distribution: Coordinate with logistics providers and transportation companies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
• Optimize warehouse layout and storage solutions to maximize space utilization and streamline operations.
• Monitor and manage warehouse equipment and infrastructure, ensuring proper maintenance and functionality.

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager in the food and beverage industry, preferably in ice cream or frozen food manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management principles and best practices.
• Experience with inventory management systems and warehouse management software (WMS).
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations related to food storage and handling.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.

Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
