Maintenance Mechanic
Pay rate starting at $18.00-$21.00/hr based on experience
Full Time Position Available 12:00pm-8:00pm (Monday-Friday with every 4th weekend required)

The Maintenance Mechanic performs a wide variety of services, installations, and repairs. We are always looking for positive, dependable, caring individuals to join our team to meet the growing demand in our community for quality care.
Maintenance Mechanic duties include:
- Makes mechanical repairs to the facility equipment: wheelchairs, beds, casters, carts, pumps, fans, HVAC equipment, laundry related equipment, food preparation and cleaning equipment, other machinery that is required to operate this facility.
- Performs repairs and other tasks relating to: piping copper steel and PVC, drain cleaning, assembly and disassembly of sinks, toilets, showers, baths, fire protection, and boilers (hot water systems).
- Performs repairs to the following: furniture, doors (wood and metal), hand and finish wall board, door closures, a variety of windows, studding metal and wood, lock sets, and installs, removes floor and ceiling tiles.
- Erects and dismantles scaffolding.
- Paints, plasters and wallpapers as needed.
- Works with single and poly phase electrical systems.
- Installs or repairs motors, starters, switches, and current limiting devices. Repairs and works with the paging and call light system.

Qualifications
- Possess the ability to: make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action, deal tactfully with personnel, residents/patients, family members, visitors, etc., and seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
- Knowledgeable of environmental control practices and maintenance procedures, as well as related laws and regulations and guidelines pertaining to hospital or nursing home operation.
- Possess leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with a team approach while supervising professional and non-professional employees.
- Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc. of the Maintenance Department
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm and be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset residents/patients.
Salary : $18 - $21
