RN Nurse Manager
The Nurse Manager is directly responsible for supervising all the staff on an assigned Rehab Unit in the performance of their assigned duties, including upholding the standards of nursing practice within the framework of the organization of the Nursing Department.

Nurse Manager Duties include:
- Completes scheduled databases, scheduled MDS’s, RAPs as assigned.
- Draft care plans on new admissions (as assigned). Updating existing care plans based on 24 hr. report and changes in assessments
- Responsible for the clinical practice of nursing on assigned unit, including resident care duties.
- Collaborates with other members of the Interdisciplinary Team in developing and implementing the plan of care.
- Develops and directs the nursing personnel to ensure competence and adequacy in providing and administering care to residents.
- Responsible for the management of nursing care for all residents on the unit, which encompasses determining the requirements for nursing care, assessing resident/patient needs and preparing care plans, establishing short and long term goals in conjunction with other members of the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Monitors Infection Control standards on unit, including submission of Resident Infection Control Reports to DON.
- Assures that the Quality Indicators are reviewed for each resident at the multi-disciplinary care planning meetings and appropriated care plans are in place to address all Quality Indicators. Reports all sentinel events to DON and ADON immediately upon notation.
- Is aware of the Resident Abuse Law and his/her responsibility related to such. Reports any suspected abuse promptly to DON and ADON. Assures resident safety and participates in investigation as directed by DON and ADON.
- Manages residents at risk for accident/incidents through prevention care planning. Also, reviews all Accident and Incident reports, assures, appropriate care planning to prevent reoccurrence, and determines root cause. Also, assures updating of appropriate data bases with Incident and Accident information.
- Presents a positive demeanor, compassion and professionalism to residents, families, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications
- Licensed and currently registered in New York State as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisor/nurse manager role
Salary : $89,440
