What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Health Care Technician position at Brothers Tree Service?
Applicant Requirements.
Excellent customer service and communication skills in person, by telephone, and in writing
Valid Driver’s License and the ability to drive a 1-ton pickup truck with spray rig safely
Be physically capable of 10 hours (or more) of work per day for 5 consecutive days while being able to carry at least 50lbs
Be able to report for work 5 days a week as early as 7:00 am
Natural resource background highly encouraged (Forestry, Horticulture, Dendrology, Entomology)
MDARD Commercial Pesticide Applier in Ornamental (3A,3B,6)
Position Duties:
Identify, diagnose, and monitor the health of trees and other horticultures to ensure there are no diseases, pests, or other issues. If found, manage using spraying and/or injection tools with chemical treatment.
Installation of Nursery plants
Communicate with and educate the client regarding the diagnoses and suggested services
Maintain and properly use PHC equipment
Record keeping and Report Writing
Invasive plant species identification and control
Database proficiency: Microsoft, Google Docs, app-based software

Heavy equipment operation. Learn to operate Areal Lifts, Stump Grinders, Woodchippers & More
Nursery Care. As part of PHC, you help our customers at their homes and in our Nursery by maintaining plant health care plans for our staff to follow.
Tree and Shrub Installation. As our nursery team sells trees and shrubs, you get to see the final smile as
part of the installation team.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
