The Aviation Department which operates the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the North Perry Airport is seeking an experienced Billing Accounting Specialist to perform general accounting/bookkeeping and auditing duties. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and will be responsible for reviewing and preparing invoices, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of billing date, resolving billing issues, and maintaining accurate records.
All Aviation Department employees must possess the ability to interact courteously with the public, Airport vendors, contractors and fellow employees to maintain a professional work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes a positive work environment.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements
Requires two (2) years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll or closely related experience.

- Invoice - On Airport Rental Car (ONRAC) Activity
- Invoice - Penny Adjustments
- Invoice - Annual Reports and True-Ups
- Invoice - Passenger Facility Charges (PFCs)
- Log & Maintain Monthly Concessions Activity Spreadsheet
- Log & Maintain Monthly ASPA Activity Spreadsheet
- Backup - Monthly Rents (FLL & HWO)
- Backup - Airline Gate Use & Landing Invoices
- Backup - FBO Landing Invoices
- Backup - Joint Use Billing
- Backup - Ground Transportation Activity Billing
- Assist with other various billings as needed
- Contact GTP Customers for Updated Information
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone or email
- Answer the finance payment line and assist customers with account balances, submitting payments, and any good-faith requests
- Assist with annual interim and year-end audits
- Perform other related work as assigned
