The Engineering Unit Supervisor oversees the Traffic Engineering Study Section, which includes licensed engineers, engineering technicians, data aides, and planners. Additionally, the supervisor reviews and approves traffic control device installations, including signs and pavement markings, ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining roadway safety and operational standards across the County.
The supervisor also conducts public outreach by representing the division at Commissioner and community meetings, responding to inquiries from residents and stakeholders, and providing timely and accurate updates. This requires strong communication skills to build trust and maintain transparency with various audiences.

Minimum Education And Experience Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil engineering or closely related field.
Requires six (6) years progressively responsible experience in professional engineering work appropriate to the area of assignment including two (2) years supervisory experience.
