- Must be a current BSO employee who has successfully completed their probationary period by the listed closing date.
- Associate's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressively skilled experience to include senior/lead role work experience in overseeing of troubleshooting hardware and software problems in stand alone and networking environments.
- Demonstrated ability to independently coordinate scheduling and resource allocation, from original needs analysis through successful completion of the assignment, supervise technical staff, re-engineer work-flows, develop statistical measures utilizing computerized tools, and deal effectively with customers to resolve issues and problems.
- Possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license throughout employment without any restrictions that affect job performance.
- An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Such experience must be clearly documented for consideration.

FEMA Emergency Management Training – ICS 100, 200, 700, 800Under administrative direction, the purpose of the position is to supervise personnel engaged in diagnosing and resolving hardware/software related problems on desktop computer equipment operating in stand-alone, networked, and/or remote environments. Employees in this classification provide skilled technical leadership to assigned personnel and end-users of stand-alone and network systems. Position assists with specifying, configuring, ordering, installing, maintaining, and upgrading computer equipment and software for the agency. Employees in this classification prepare statistical measures and provide operational reports to upper management for both tactical and strategic reporting and planning purposes. Employees in this classification administer systems security for all network user accounts, access to certain file servers, to include software applications, user files and user accounts. Performs related work as directed.

Performs supervisory duties for technical staff assigned to provide both remote and on-site problem resolution.
Performs supervisory duties for agency consultants when applicable.
Supervises troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software-related issues; ensures coordination of repairs in a time efficient manner to minimize disruption in system utility.
Coordinates installation for new hardware, software and upgrades for various districts and departments utilizing stand alone, on-line, and/or remote environment systems.
Provides on the job training for staff on customer service skills, problem solving, task planning and coordination, computerized tools and new technologies.
Evaluates personnel performance; provides recommendation concerning hiring, discipline, promotion and other personnel management issues.
Plans work loads, work flows, deadlines, work objectives, and time utilization with staff, contractors, and vendors; creates detailed project plans.
Coordinates and monitors the resolution of trouble tickets to ensure compliance with service level agreements; resolves customer complaints.
Uses a variety of mathematical, statistical, and other data-analysis tools to develop operational, tactical, and strategic reports and graphs used to analyze individual staff performance, cycle times and predict on-going trends.
Coordinates administrative and technical work of project life-cycles related to technology acquisition.
Coordinates needs analysis with users, management and other ITD personnel.
Researches computer, computer peripherals and printer product availability and pricing for the purpose of providing recommendations for the agency.
Evaluates operational and technical impacts of new equipment and software with respect to existing systems configuration and operations; provides information and recommendations accordingly.
Coordinates services with software vendors and representatives for the purpose of configuring and modifying system environments regarding implementation of specialized software packages.
Assigns staff to instruct end users in maintenance and use of applications/hardware.
Provides support for integrating hardware and software solutions.
Performs related duties as directed.
Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Work is performed in usual office conditions with rare exposure to disagreeable environmental factors.
