General Description
The Aviation Department which operates the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, and the North Perry Airport is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Program Project Coordinator - Asset Section in the Maintenance Division. The position will report to a Program/Project Coordinator, Senior, in the Maintenance Division Asset Section. This position will maintain the Traka document controls system for the Division's locksmith and will be responsible for the issuance, collection and audit of the brass keys issued to Airport employees, Tenants and Airport Users.
This position will be responsible to run reports from the Maximo work order system to document work log productivity and analyze reports for the better management of asset's life cycles and replacement of such. They will also assist in developing and maintaining policies and procedures that ensure the accuracy of asset-related data, implementing asset verification activities in the field, such as coordinating with project managers for construction-related asset updates. In addition, they will be responsible for researching and providing information as it pertains to personal injury incidents such as slip and falls, and elevator/escalator/moving walkway equipment incidents in and around the Airport campus.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, public administration or closely related field.
(One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.)
Requires two (2) years experience in a staff or administrative capacity managing special projects, programs or business operations appropriate to the area of assignment or closely related experience.
Special Certifications and Licenses Required
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Class E driver's license based on area of assignment.

Traka Key Management and Key Trail Software experience or similar
Security Badge Software System experience
Maximo Work Order and Asset Management Software experience
Lifecycle schedules and asset replacement budget forecasting experience
Asset reliability maintenance and forecast experience
All candidates must complete an extensive ten (10) year work history verification and criminal background check (please include the last 10 years of work history on application), including fingerprinting. Per the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 49, Part 1542, all airport employees must undergo a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and a Security Threat Assessment (STA) in order to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge, as required by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). * Post-offer physical examination including drug testing. * Ability to maintain authorization to drive a County vehicle. * Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge. * The Aviation Department operates under a Drug-Free Workplace Policy in compliance with the provisions of the Federal Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988.
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.
- Asset management responsibilities will include scheduling work for repairs and maintenance of the Airport's assets, creating and analyzing reports that support asset management life-cycle planning, assisting in developing and maintaining policies and procedures that ensure the accuracy of asset-related data, implementing asset verification activities in the field, such as coordinating with project managers for construction-related asset updates, coordinating asset management projects including mobile technologies, GIS, and SCADA integrations, and assist with data entry.
- Assist the Division's Contracts/Grants Administrators with documenting and maintaining logs for capital budget expenditures associated with asset replacement.
- Obtain and maintain Authorized Signatory privileges for the FLL Airport Issued Identification Media Program.
- Assist in the management of the FLL Airport Issued Identification Media (SIDA) Program for the Maintenance Division.
Act as a Customs and Border Protection CBP Security Area Access Seal Program Coordinator for the Maintenance Division. Assist in the management of the Customs and Border Protection CBP Security Area Access Seal Program.
Assist with the Aviation Department Maintenance Division's badging program for staff and vendors.
- Must be able to secure and maintain a valid Florida Driver's license; secure and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge and maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Coordinates and manages all aspects of a large program or project within an agency.
Plans, develops, authorizes, implements, supervises and evaluates programs/projects, activities and services; facilitates inclusion, prepares reports, and analyzes and interprets data.
Develops policies, procedures and guidelines related to programs/projects and services.
Promotes and assesses agency programs and services; cooperatively plans and implements programs and community-wide special events.
Implements funding opportunities, including advertising and marketing, and researches potential grant opportunities; develops grant proposals to secure funding from federal, state, local, and/or private sources; oversees the coordination, preparation, and submission of grants to ensure compliance with established Broward County policies and procedures; manages and tracks grant budgets.
Develops personnel cap based on recommended budget for approval by the Board; implements all position additions, deletions, changes, reorganizations and transfers approved in the adopted budget.
Reviews position changes and transfers requested by other County agencies prior to implementing change to ensure compliance with adopted personnel cap; incorporates changes to the cap approved by the Board throughout the year.
May perform quality control checks on operating and budget documents to ensure accuracy, creates and modifies PowerPoint presentations for agency communication, creates core budget development support documents.
Monitors and supervises maintenance of project records and documentation.
Acts as administrative liaison among various County operational and administrative functions related to assigned programs and projects.
Conducts special studies in conjunction with a project, analyzes data, and makes recommendations based upon studies.
Creates and maintains performance/production reports (spreadsheets). This includes monthly productivity reports which provide monthly statistics for transactions processed and revenue generated.
Communicates key procedural changes to staff and management.

- All Aviation Maintenance Division employees must be able to perform rotational shift work and/or overtime (holidays, weekends and emergencies) in support of operational needs in a twenty-four (24) hour per day/seven (7) days per week operation and in accordance with a collective bargaining agreement.
