Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team in San Antonio, TX!
The Commercial Lines Account Manager provides support to Producer/Account Executive in obtaining, maintaining, expanding and servicing commercial lines accounts.
How You Will Contribute:
Oversee expiration and binder logs to ensure timely renewal of all coverage.
- Review renewal documents and ensure accurate information is provided to Producers.
- Manage the renewal cycle, including updates on location, vehicle, driver, and other schedules.
- Coordinate with Producers to obtain updated Executive Summaries for renewals.
- Prepare submissions for marketing or incumbent carriers and submit necessary renewal information.
- Negotiate renewal terms and review quotes from incumbent carriers.
- Review Renewal Proposals and ensure accuracy before releasing them to Producers or clients.
- Oversee Account Associate during the renewal procedure, ensuring timely coverage binding.
- Manage invoicing, policy checks, and client communications regarding renewal policies.
- Maintain client relations, resolve service issues, assist with billing, and ensure smooth account receivable processes.
Licenses and Certifications:
Property & Casualty license required.
- Professional designation(s) (preferred)
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 5 years' experience.
- Minimum typing speed of 40 to 50 words per minute (preferred)
- Knowledge of Applied, Excel, Word, Outlook, and online rating programs (preferred)
- Possess the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong client service and relationship building skills. Superior presentation, negotiation and customer service skills. Be able to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
