Our commercial insurance lines division sells and services business clients purchasing any lines of commercial insurance. The Assistant be responsible for supporting the team and providing prompt, accurate, and courteous service to our customers, sales representatives, and insurance companies. The new hire will also assist the team in completion of service functions, and provide quality service to our clients.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Provide Account Executives, Producers and Clients with service needs updating existing accounts
- Provide, with a positive attitude, a high level of support in maintaining, expanding, and servicing personal accounts
- Process various transactions within customer files as provided by team members.
- Perform various rating calculations and quotations as requested.
- Prepare certificates, evidence of property insurance, and schedules of insurance as requested.
- Perform miscellaneous functions as requested.
- Follow up on customer file suspense according to agency guidelines.
- Assemble and distribute various transactions as requested.
- Maintain supplies for the team.
- Participate in the ongoing account development program established by the agency.
- Assist in training other employees as requested by Team Director or Team Coordinator.
- Understand the role of automation in our agency and maximize utilization of its' capability for customer service, additional coverage sales, marketing and underwriting activities.
- Be familiar with and knowledgeable in all Companies and Markets available within the Agency.
- Maintain licensing and/or educational requirements as well as continue their Professional Development.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 2 years' experience in Commercial Lines Insurance in a similar customer support/service role
- 2-20 State of Florida Insurance License (required within 6 months)
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, Word
- Strong written and oral communication
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient at typing, accuracy and speed, at least 50 WPM
- Team Player with Positive Attitude
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree a Plus!
- Knowledge of AMS360 software is a Plus!
