Financial Analyst & Accounts Payable - On-Site

The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues while also managing accounts payable functions. This candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate important themes and discoveries to company leadership. This dual-role position requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support business decision-making.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop financial models to forecast business performance.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis.

Accounts Payable:

• Assist in managing the full cycle of accounts payable, including invoice processing, verification, and payment.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor relationships and address any payment-related inquiries.
• Monitor and report on accounts payable aging and cash flow.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for financial analysis.
• Support the Finance Manager in various finance-related projects and initiatives.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Assist with internal and external audits as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis and accounts payable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Advanced Excel skills: familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
