What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent position at Brown County Inn?
Brown County Inn is seeking a part-time front desk agent. Some weekend availability required. Shifts available are 3-11pm. 2-3 shifts per week; more available during busy season. If applicant is interested, could potentially add one night audit shift per week, but not a requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Check-in and check-out guests using the hotel's computer system
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries
- Assist guests with requests and provide information about hotel amenities and local attractions
- Handle guest complaints or issues with patience and professionalism
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of guest transactions
- Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure a smooth guest experience
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using phone systems and computer software
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle difficult situations calmly
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling guest information
