Join our team as a Computing Systems Technician 2 and provide critical technical support for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems. Initially, this telework role will be part of our ICE Division Service Desk group, transitioning within 1-2 years to an onsite Field Team position to enhance your expertise and career growth. In this position, you’ll troubleshoot, configure, and maintain desktop and mobile systems in a heterogeneous environment, ensuring seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support, both locally and remotely, for network infrastructure and desktop systems.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software for workstations and mobile devices.
- Test and evaluate commercial and Laboratory-developed software for quality assurance.
- Maintain system security, including password management and data integrity.
- Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Recommend and implement hardware and software upgrades and acquisitions.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of related technical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for desktop, mobile systems, and network issues.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
- Willingness to work onsite as needed and comply with random drug testing requirements.
