Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Work Control Planner 3 to develop, review, and manage work packages that include time, material, and labor estimates, step-by-step work instructions, procedures, and safety and testing requirements. This role is critical for ensuring the effective implementation and control of operations, maintenance, and modification activities within a designated facility or area. The Work Control Planner 3 will handle planning duties related to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and/or radiological equipment, policies, and procedures. Additionally, this role involves resolving work restraints and ensuring work packages are brought to final closure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review detailed work packages, including labor, material, and time estimates.
- Prepare clear and concise step-by-step work instructions and procedures to guide the execution of work activities.
- Ensure all work packages meet safety and testing requirements and adhere to operational standards.
- Plan and coordinate work activities related to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and/or radiological equipment and systems.
- Identify and resolve work restraints, ensuring all work activities can proceed as scheduled.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure smooth implementation of work packages.
- Bring work packages to final closure, ensuring all documentation and follow-up actions are completed.
- Monitor and update work packages as needed, incorporating changes in scope, materials, or safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Project Management, Industrial Technology) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of eight years of related experience in work control planning, operations, maintenance, or a related field.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, chemical, and/or radiological systems and equipment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with safety and testing protocols within industrial or facility settings.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to develop clear, comprehensive, and accurate work instructions and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve work restraints.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Certifications:
Additional certifications in project management, safety, or related fields are advantageous.
