As an Audit Associate, you will analyze operational and financial processes to ensure compliance with industry and federal regulations. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented individual looking to grow their career in public accounting. You will work under direct supervision while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical:
- Prepare financial statements using the firm’s approved format
- Classify accounts for financial statement presentation
- Understand basic accounting and auditing principles
- Utilize tax and audit software for efficient financial statement preparation
- Assist in counting and auditing cash, inventory, and assets
- Perform account reconciliations and propose adjusting journal entries
- Participate in audit planning and completion
Analytical & Communication:
- Conduct statistical and account analyses
- Identify risks and assess materiality in financial data
- Ensure work papers are clear, accurate, and well-documented
- Effectively communicate with the engagement team and clients
Project Management & Client Relations:
- Manage multiple clients and tasks efficiently
- Provide timely updates on project status and budget estimates
- Ensure a positive experience for clients through clear communication
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting (150 credit hours completed or in progress)
- Less than one year; internship or undergraduate work experience is a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel locally; ability to work overtime during peak seasons

The pay range for this position is $64,500 to $70,000 and is intended to give candidates an overview of the potential compensation for this role. Actual salary offers may vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to: individual qualifications, experience, licensure, skills, geographical location and market conditions.
