Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team and lead the accounting and administrative department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with the ability to handle various financial tasks efficiently. The Staff Accountant works in the internal accounting department to carry out consistent company procedures. The role is to prepare and review financial information and organize it in a way that provides a clear picture of the company’s fiscal health. The Staff Accountants will handle billing processes including accounts receivable and accounts payable. When processing financial documents, the Staff Accountants will also look for ways to improve efficiency and recognize unnecessary expenses. They will regularly update company records with details about income and itemized expenses to reflect the most accurate information and meet financial regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable and payable processes
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and maintain accurate financial records
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior accounting staff
- Utilize accounting software to process transactions and generate reports
- Conduct technical accounting research and analysis
- Assist in financial auditing processes
- Support corporate finance activities
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations using QuickBooks
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting principles and practices
- Experience in accounts receivable and general ledger reconciliation
- Ability to mentor and guide junior staff members
- Familiarity with accounting software for financial transactions
