The accountant will perform the ongoing accounting needs for a software development company and its foreign subsidiary, as well as assist the CFO and Controller with general day-to-day financial tasks and projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The position encompasses a wide range of duties including but not limited to the following:
- Processes billing/accounts receivable to include customer invoicing, maintaining customer relations, collections assistance and processing customer payments.
- Processes payroll.
- Preparation of journal entries and maintenance of the general ledger.
- Recording monthly credit card expense transactions.
- Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations.
- Helps maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Maintains files, including filing of payroll related information, sales data, accounts payable documentation, and other.
- Assumes responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including sales and income taxes as well as reporting.
- Prepares a variety of documents and reports, both standard and ad hoc, as required.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Sage or other related accounting software
- 5 years experience preferably in the software industry
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Travel requirements are limited
