Brown School, an independent school located in Schenectady, NY is searching for a preschool teacher assistant for the 2024/25 school year.
Job Description
- Teacher assistants work closely and cooperatively with the lead teacher
- Assist and monitor children during snack and lunch times
- Engage with children during free-exploration activities
- Help maintain a safe, clean, stimulating and visually appealing learning environment
- Display a commitment to diversity and creating a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging in approach to teaching and learning, as they are recognized and valued by Brown School
Qualifications
- An associate’s degree, in early childhood education, is preferred
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive and effective management skills
- Experience working with preschool children in a classroom setting
