What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Office Manager position at Browning Contractors Inc?

Browning Contractors, Inc. is a leading underground construction company for the Central Valley. We are looking for an individual with at least 2-4 years Accounting and Administrative experience. It is vital that applicants have the ability to establish and maintain working relationship with our management team, employees, vendors, clients.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices
  • Matching and filing invoices/Reconciling vendor statements
  • Tracking of all subcontractor documents
  • Vendor set up; maintain all vendor and subcontractor files
  • Process 1099’s at year end
  • Update and create various Excel spreadsheets
  • Generating reports and various other accounting functions
  • All aspects of HR; on-boarding, termination, payroll
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees and supervisors
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish; able to speak, read and write
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
