Job Summary:
The Field Service Operator & Pump Technician will be responsible for providing on-site maintenance, repair, and installation services related to water filtration systems, E1 grinder pumps, and other pump repair needs. This role requires a combination of technical expertise in water filtration, mechanical skills, and field troubleshooting capabilities. The ideal candidate will work independently in the field to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of the company's equipment, while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field Service Operations:
- Perform on-site diagnostics, installation, maintenance, and repair of water filtration systems and pump equipment, particularly E1 grinder pumps.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace components of filtration systems and pumping stations as necessary.
- Inspect, clean, and service pumps and filtration units, ensuring all systems are running at optimal levels.
- Respond to emergency service calls and resolve customer issues promptly and efficiently.
- Record and document service activities and repairs, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with company standards.
- Filtration System Maintenance:
- Utilize knowledge of various water filtration methods to ensure system performance.
- Clean and replace filters, check for system blockages, and adjust settings to improve filtration.
- Provide guidance on best practices for filtration system operation and maintenance to customers.
- Pump Repair and Maintenance:
- Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance on E1 grinder pumps and other water pumps.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with pumps and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Calibrate and test pump systems for efficiency and reliability.
- Customer Interaction and Support:
- Communicate with clients about service issues, proposed repairs, and recommendations for pump maintenance or filtration upgrades.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction, addressing any concerns and offering solutions.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures for equipment operation and field service work.
- Ensure all repairs and installations are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other field service operators, engineers, and office staff to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
- Assist in inventory control, ensuring parts and equipment needed for service calls are available.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are preferred.
- Proven experience in field service operations, particularly with water filtration systems and pumps (E1 grinder pumps preferred).
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of water filtration systems, pump installation, and repair techniques.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
Work Environment:
- Field-based role requiring frequent travel to customer sites.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting heavy pumps and equipment.
- May be exposed to outdoor conditions and various environmental factors while performing services.
