Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring accurate and complete registration information
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow
- Answer phone calls, address patient inquiries, and provide information as needed
- Verify patient insurance and process necessary paperwork
- Maintain patient records and update information in the electronic health record (EMR) system
- Assist medical staff with office tasks, including preparing patient charts and handling correspondence
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and office policies
- Handle medical billing tasks
- Maintain office supplies and order inventory as needed
- Perform other administrative duties as required
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment to enhance patient experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in documentation review and insurance verification processes.
- Familiarity with medical collection procedures is a plus.
